The hand is often placed near the mouth; the 4 fingers repeatedly touch the thumb to indicate a person who speaks only and often, without ever acting.

But be careful, if the hand slams on the head, this gesture has another meaning: "But fuss stupid?" ("Aren't you stupid?"). It indicates an ill-digested statement by the person making the gesture.

And there is yet another meaning if the hand rotates on itself: «Chio cchiò!», or «Fool, you let yourself be fooled». Fesso/a is one of the most used adjectives in the Neapolitan language, and it is a strong enough offense because the Neapolitan has such a cult for cunning, that it even reaches the admiration of those who use it to its detriment. «Cca nisciuno è fesso», as the great Totò used to say.

Stefania Mussolino established herself over time as a Neapolitan artisan and artist thanks to a personal and artistic research, moved by the desire to give shape to beauty through materials recovered almost everywhere and transformed into "frames".

In his creations you can discover the history, the folklore, the contrasts, the traditions of the Neapolitan culture. His sculptures catapult you into the heart of Naples, among the alleys of the historic center, a dense network of narrow streets full of history, art and local specialties full of antitheses that magically come together and "work". Thus the sacred approaches the profane and tradition discovers new forms to give life to beauty.

Her project of "Le mani" represents a sculptural collection, the result of a study by the artist and craftswoman, carried out on the world of gestures: a set of different colors and decorations with which to give or treat yourself to many objects with which to have fun decorating the own home.

The hands, initially, were made solely as a sculpture in resin. Thanks to the synergy with the GM Group - a leading company in the production of Italian handcrafted and made-to-measure frames, owner of part of the shares in the atelier - they have found a new dimension, that of paintings.
